695HOOPS WHERE IT'S ALWAYS ALL ABOUT THE GIRLS
November 19, 2016
The Girls Middle School Showcase of 2016 was revamped and hosted by Mercy High School in East Baltimore on a windy Saturday afternoon. This year's GMSS was open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders and featured an expanded focus on instruction. Two of Baltimore's finest skill coaches were in charge of the warm up and drill session. Tyree Bizzelle of Team Orange (boys program) and CJ Scott of Baltimore's Power Move Basketball ran the participants through a series of drills that were both fun and challenging. Some of the participants were able to easily grasp and master them, while others needed a little while to pick them up. With the registrations limited to 40 spots the players recieved more quality instruction from the two trainers and the Mercy coaches who joined in as well.
Notable high school programs such as National Christian Academy, Institute of Notre Dame, Western and St. Vincent Palloti were on hand to evaluate the prospects and possibly make a connection.
