695: Where did you grow up?
Asia: I grew up in Maryland, East Baltimore.
695: How did you start playing ball?
Asia: I started playing basketball in my backyard with my dad, siblings and childhood friends.
695: Did you play any other sports?
Asia: I played football with the guys around my way, and I also played Volleyball in high school.
695: Which AAU teams did you play for?
Asia: I played for the Baltimore Lady Lions.
695: What was the highlight of your Digital Harbor career?
Asia: The highlight of my Digital Harbor career was when we won the 1A 2008-2009 State Championship against Surrattsville high school at UMBC.
695: Who is your favorite player of all time?
Asia: My favorite player of all time is Lebron James. He is a phenomenal basketball player and role model.
695: What advice would you give to players from this area who want to play D1 ball?
Asia: My advice for players who want to play D1 ball is to stay focused. Books first, ball second. Take care of your body, because the game gets faster and faster. Stay out of trouble and work extremely hard on and off the court. Put in extra work, because when you do the games feel easy.
695: Talk about a funny basketball road trip...
Asia: One funny road trip was when I was a freshman in college, we were driving to play some school and we sang Christmas songs throughout the whole road trip. It was fun and funny.
695: What do you remember about the recruiting process and how did you decide on Pittsburgh?
Asia: I remember the recruiting process being really exhausting. College coaches would constantly call me, send me letters, and ask me to take official visits. I decided to choose Pitt because my visit was great and it is a really good school just to say you graduated from.
695: How was the experience at Pitt?
Asia: Despite our losing seasons, my experience at Pitt was great. Those were the best four years of my life. I've met so many different people and I've experienced eating great food. Pitt's facilities were awesome and I also met a plethora of celebrities at Pitt.
695: What did you major in?
Asia: I majored in Administration of Justice, minored in Legal Studies.
695: When did you start to realize you would have the opportunity to play professionally?
Asia: I realized I would have the opportunity to play professionally when a lot of sports agencies were contacting me after my senior season was over.
695: How long have you been in Greece now?
Asia: I've been in Greece for four months, three more to go.
695: This has to be a great experience. What is your typical day like since you have been there?
Asia: A typical day for me would be wake-up, wash-up, eat, get dressed for practice, walk to practice, practice for 1.5 hours, lift, shower, eat, and then relax. When the gym is available after practice, I will get extra shots up. I get bored a lot, because all I really do is practice and rest. We do fun things here and there but most of the time I'm just relaxing.
