695Hoops recently caught up with Palloti Prep's transfer Beverly Ogunrinde. The 6'1" part time model and full time baller answered a few questions for us about how she started playing and her goals for the high school season.

695: How old were you when you started playing?

Beverly: I was 13 years old when I started playing basketball.

695: How did you get started?

Beverly:  I started playing basketball by trying out for my middle school basketball team. 

695: Where did you transfer from?

Beverly:  I transfered from High Point High School.

695: Which AAU teams have you played for?

Beverly:  I've played for the United Lady Ballers and for DC Heat.

695: What are your goals for the high school season?

Beverly My goal for this high school season is to win a championship. With the help of my teammates, I think we are very capable of winning a championship. We have a lot of talent. Also, I want to become a better defensive player.

695: Where did you grow up?

Beverly:  I grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland.

695: Why do you love playing this game?

Beverly:  There are my many reasons why I love basketball. The reasons why I love basketball include being competitive, showing off your talent, its fun, and you get to learn from other people. I never would have thought I would be where I am today if I looked back. I love the game so much.

695: Tell me about a funny AAU road trip...

Beverly:  One of the funniest road trips that I've had would have to be when I was in Fort Myers, Florida with the United Lady Ballers. My teammates and I were in the van on our way back to the hotel. In the van, we were singing and cracking jokes. We all had a good time.

695: What do you want to add to your game?

Beverly:  I want to add more defense to my game. I think its very important to have good defensive skills. Also, to become stronger.

695: What type of music are you listening to these days?

Beverly:  I listen to Drake, Rihanna, Wiz Kid, Lil Wayne, & Beyonce.

695: What is your favorite food and who do you like to cook it?

Beverly:  My favorite food would have to be Jallof Rice. I'm of Nigerian Herritage and that's one of the main dishes. I love it when my mom cooks it, especially when she adds chicken.

695: I could go for some of that right now. Tell me something people might not know about you...

Beverly:  People don't know that I can dance. I'm really tall so people tend to underestimate me when it comes to dancing.
