This high scoring guard was one of the top scorers in the state of Maryland last season. We had a chance to discuss the upcoming season and her devastating torn ACL that cut her summer season with Boo Williams 16U team short.
695:What AAU teams have you played for?
Bones: Boo Williams,DC Heat and MD Flames.
695:What are your goals for this high school season?
Bones: I want to get my body healthy and then win a state championship.
695: How is the rehab from the knee injury going?
695: Good. I'm running and jumping now ... soon I will get into lateral movement but for now im just strengthing my leg.
695: Did you consider sitting out the high school season so you would be fully healed for college?
Bones: Yes, but there is a mental part of the injury that I want to be over when I get to College Park.
695:You put up a lot of points...who is the toughest defender you see in high school?
Bones: I honestly don't know (laughing).
695:What made you choose Maryland for college and what will you major in?
Bones:it fits everything i need in a college ...close to home , competiton ,great academics ,love the coaches and teammates ... good family atmosphere. I haven't decided on a major yet.
695:Where did you get the nickname "Bones"?
Bones: Marvin Colfied ,an old aau coach. I was real skinny.
695 Who is your favorite player?
Bones: Kobe Bryant.
695: Do you have any other hobbies besides basketball?
Bones: Nope, I've always played ball.
695: What are you rocking on your ipod these days?
Bones: Wale , Drake , Phred Diamond , TJW , Trey Songz ...... New Impressionz xib , TOB Reaction,TCB.
695:Did you get a chance to add anything to your game this summer?
Bones :Mental toughness, but mostly defensive stuff.
695:Who is your favorite coach that you've had so far?
Bones: Heather Podosek.
695:Who has the most jokes on the Paint Branch team?
Bones: Probably me (laughing).
