695HOOPS WHERE IT'S ALWAYS ALL ABOUT THE GIRLS
Catonsville's cat quick lefty point guard Breya Wallace caught my eye at the Blue Chip event in York. She has improved so much that I did not recognize her from two years ago when I first saw her play. She has the uncanny ability to get where she wants to go on the court and she plays with a high level of intensity all the time. The junior floor leader should cause some problems in Baltimore County this winter.
Breya: I was about 9 years old when I first started playing basketball.
Breya: I have played for the Maryland Sure Shots and the Columbia Ravens.
Breya: Wow, it's hard to pick one, I had a really good summer. I guess the ones that really stand out was attending the Bluechip Tournament in York, PA, receiving the MVP award at the Univ of MD Camp and our family cruise to Florida and the Bahamas. While in the Bahamas we went to Atlantis, we had a blast!
Breya: My goal for the high school season is to help my team make it to the County Championships.
Breya: Listening to music, spending time with my family and friends and I love to travel.
Breya: I need to work on my footwork and staying in front of the player I’m defending in a man to man as well as picking up on their weaknesses. I’m also working on my 3 point shot.
Breya: Rajon Rondo
Breya: Gym and Math.
Breya: Kevin Durant, he just seems like he would be a fun guy to hang out with.
Breya: Teach me how to dougie and the cha cha slide….lol.
Breya: Going back to the hotel from the gym in York, my mom was driving and my teammates, my mom and I were all singing “We are young” by Fun really loud. We rolled down our windows so everyone on the highway could hear us and people were looking at us like we were crazy.
