695: Talk about the recruiting process and how you chose Sacred Heart....
Briana: The recruiting process was very "roller coaster" like for me in the beginning. Having some of the larger scale programs seeking me out was exciting. I visited stellar programs such as Penn State, University of Tennessee, James Madison, East Carolina and Seton Hall. Although these were some very memorable experiences for me, I kept a realistic viewpoint of what I wanted my collegiate experience to be. I enjoy playing and making a difference for the program. Coach Jessica Mannetti (Head Coach for Sacred Heart WBB) was very specific about what my role would be for her 2015-2019 program. I never had a coach to identify my exact contribution to the future of their program. Most coaches speak generically about how they are looking for "someone" who can do xyz for their program. For me, I wanted to simply be where I was wanted and certainly needed. Sacred Heart made this vision crystal clear for me during my visit in September and I did not hesitate in making a decision over some other very prominent programs.

Briana: Communications (Broadcasting).
695: What are your goals for your senior season?
Briana: I made a decision to finish my high school basketball career at my home zone program - Westlake High School in Waldorf, MD. My goal for this year is to be an example for my teammates both academically (4.2 GPA) and athletically. Our team goals are to win another SMAC Conference and take the state 3A Conference Championship.
695: What artists do you listen to before a game?
Briana: I enjoy a variety of genres in music. It really depends on how I feel before the game and who we are facing. My favorites artists are Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Yolanda Adams.
