Brittany Butler
695: Tell me about your family life, where did you grow up?
Brittany: I live with my mom and dad in Elkridge MD. I have a twin brother named Justin. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends.
695: What made you start playing ball?
Brittany: I tried other sports like soccer and dance i didnt reallly like it. I noticed my brother playing basketball and it looked fun and competitive. I started when I was about five and been playing ever since then.
695: Howard had a nice run to UMBC last year. How was that experience?
Brittany: The experience was was really fun and exciting. Even though we came up a little short it was a good experience to share with my teammates and coaches. It was also exciting to play on an actual college floor and having alot of people watching. It really hyped us up.
695: What are your goals for this season?
Brittany: My goals for this season is to be a good role model my team and be a leader on the floor. Also to have fun and enjoy my senior year at Howard. Also to make it back to UMBC and get to the state chapionship game.
695: What was the highlight of the summer for you?
Brittany: My highlight was traveling to Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, New Jersey, and VA with my teammates. Also when I committed to Loyola.
695: How was the recruiting process for you and what made you choose Loyola?
Brittany: The recruiting process was a little stressful because a lot of different schoosl were intrested in me and had many things to offer. But Loyola seemed to have it all and it was a lot closer to home. Also I really like the coaching staff.
695: What do you plan to major in?
Brittany: I want to major in Education so I can become a teacher.
695: Which AAU teams have you played for?
Brittany: I have played for the Baltimore Ravens, Columbia Ravens, Lady Comets, DC Heat and my current team the Baltimore Storm.
695: Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
Brittany: Before games I get my mind right and focus on the competition. I do this by listening to my Ipod.
695: What do you have on your Ipod?
Brittany: My Ipod mainly has R&B and rap. I like Drake, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown and Trey Songz.
695: What is the last good concert you went to?
Brittany: The last concert I saw was an old school concert in Vegas with my family.
