CIARA WEBB, PATTERSON HIGH

 Ciara Webb recently made a verbal commitment to Towson University after a good summer with her AAU team, the Baltimore Starz. Ciara is one of the most athletic point guards in the area and is poised for a huge high school season this winter. She averaged 19.8 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 assists per game last season. She surpassed 1,000 points during her junior year and has added some new moves to her game over the summer.

695: When did you start playing?
Ciara: My first time ever playing official

basketball was 9th grade, but before that I would play pick up around my neighboorhood with the boys.

695: How is your neighborhood?
Ciara: There use to be an outside court where we use to play all day, but after that was taken down, we played in the rec's gym.

695: Are you the most popular kid at Patterson?

Ciara: I wouldnt say the most popular, but everyone knows who I am. Aquille Carr goes to Patterson too and he's pretty popular!

695: Where did the nickname sis come from?
Ciara: My brother and I have always called each other sis and bub since we were young.
Then, my close friends started calling me sis, and it has just stuck with me
since then.

695: What kind of music do you have on your ipod?
Ciara: I listen to everything! But my favorites are Jay Z, Eminem, and Drake.

695: Are you excited about the high school season?
Ciara: I am really excited, but I'm also sad even though it hasn't started yet. I want it to go by very very slow since it's my last.

695: What made you choose Towson over other schools for college?
Ciara: When I visited Towson, I already imagined myself there. I love the campus and it's close to home so my family can watch all my games. I also love the coaches. When I went to their camp, I played with the players and I had so much fun. I felt like it was the perfect fit for me.

695: Tell me a funny AAU road trip story
Ciara: I would have to say the funnest times during AAU were the long rides with all the teammates. With Tracey  Carrington trying to rap with her whack freestyles. Other funny time is when we imitate all the coaches. We're actually too good at it!

695:Who is your funniest teammate ever?
Ciara: That's an easy one, Tracey Carrington.

695:  Yea, she's a clown.

695: I heard you have your own fan club?

Ciara: Well not really, but this guy stands on a corner near my house with a sign and he comes to some of the games. He asked me for my autograph.

695: who is the toughest defender you have had to play in high school?
Ciara: Janay Brinkley from Digital.
