Mooriah Rowser is a 5'9" shooting guard who is headed to Memphis for her college ball. The smooth Rockville native is a dynamic scorer and a lock down defender. We caught up to Ms.Rowser after the IAAM/WCAC Challenge and she answered a few questions for 695Hoops.

695: How did you start playing ball?

Mooriah:  I started really young, I fell in love with the sport because my cousin had a little basket in his basement and I would want to go play on that. I also played in a Boys and Girls Club and I when I started playing in that league I knew it was something I really liked.

695: Where did you grow up?

Mooriah:  I grew up in Rockville, MD.

695: Did you play any other sports?

Mooriah:  I have never played any other sports.

695: What other hobbies do you have ?

Mooriah:  I like going to the movies, hanging out with friends and shopping. I also like to travel out of the country.

695: What do you love about playing this game?

Mooriah:  I would consider myself competitive, so I like the competition. I also like the team concept of the sport because you're able to start long lasting relationships with your teammates and even people outside of your team.

695: What do you want to add to your game?

Mooriah:  Range is something I would like to add. I also would like to dunk one day.

695: Which music artists do you listen to?

Mooriah:  My favorite artist is Beyonce but I'm also a big fan of Jay-Z and Kanye West.

695: What is the last good book you read?

Mooriah:  A series called Indigo by Monica McKayhan

695: Which AAU teams have you played for?

Mooriah:  I have played for Classics,Team Sol, Maryland Lady Shooting Stars and Maryland Blue Star.

695: Who is your favorite player?

Mooriah:  Kobe Bryant is my favorite player.

695: How was the recruiting process? How did you decide on Memphis?

Mooriah: The recruiting process was a long process, but it's also fun because you have all these schools that want you. Personally, I wanted to take my time during the process, I did not rush and pick a school I really didn't like. I chose Memphis because the team plays my style of ball, the school has both a good academic atmosphere and social atmosphere, plus I really liked the city.

695: Tell me something people might not know about you...

Mooriah: I actually eat a lot, it just doesn't show.
