Right after she scored her 1,000th career point Spalding's Sherae Swinson stopped by the 695Hoops studio to answer a few questions. The Binghampton bound forward is looking forward to competing at the next level.
695: How old were you when you started playing ball?
Sherae: I was 7 years old.
695: Where did you grow up?
Sherae: I grew up in Augusta, GA.
695: Who is your favorite player?
Sherae: Lebron James.
695: Which AAU teams have you played for?
Sherae: Maryland Waves, Fairfax Stars, Lady Comets and Lady Terps.
695: Who is your favorite coach that you have had so far?
Sherae: Coach Bookie(Rosemond).
695. What type of music do you have on your Ipod?
Sherae: Hip hop, rap and r&b.
695: How did you decide on Binghampton for college?
Sherae: It just felt right. I like the team and the coaches.
695: What do you need to add to your game?
Sherae: I want to improve my ball handling.
695: Tell me about a funny AAU road trip story...
Sherae: My last year with the Waves was the best. We were so close. All the black girls braided the white girls' hair and they played in the game with them.
695: I like that.
695: Can you cook? What's your favorite food?
Sherae: I can cook a little something. My favorite food is macaroni and cheese.
695: What do you usually do to get prepared on game day?
Sherae: I listen to my Ipod.
695: Elvis?
Sherae: No (laughing).
695: What do you love about this game? Why do you play?
Sherae: I like that fact that it's a team sport and its fun.
