695HOOPS WHERE IT'S ALWAYS ALL ABOUT THE GIRLS
Dundalk's high scoring senior guard Tracey Carrington has put up some big numbers over the last two seasons. After she dropped a career high 43 points on senior night against Patterson Mill she answered a few questions for 695Hoops. Ms.Carrington recently committed to Morgan State.
695: How old were you when you started playing ball?
Tracey: I was ten years old when I first picked up a basketball.
695: Where did you grow up?
Tracey: I grew up on the west side of Baltimore, Mondawmin Avenue area.
695: Which AAU teams have you played for?
Tracey: The Baltimore Starz and I played a little with the Shooting Stars last summer.
695: Tell me about a funny AAU road trip story...
Tracey: Haha , I Have a lot but the one that I'll never forget is when I played for the Starz and we went to Boo Williams. It Was me, Ciara Webb, Tyla Bates, Chaun Crockett , Dejhonae Cannady,and Kache Stewart. We all snuck out of the hotel room around 2 A.M, went into other hotels fooling around with stuff, walked through the fast food drive thrus and then came back to mess with our other teammates while they were sleeping.
695: What do you plan to major in when you get to college?
Tracey: Forensic science or Criminal Justice.
695: What do you need to add to your game?
Tracey: I think I need to add a little bit of everything to my game. There is always room to improve.
695: Who is your favorite player?
Tracey: LeBron Raymond James.
695: What artists do you have on your ipod?
Tracey: Tupac, Ashanti, T.I., Keyshia Cole, Gotti and Jeezy.
695: What's your favorite food and who do you want to cook it?
Tracey: That would have to be pepper steak and I love when my mother cooks it.
695: How was it being the Homecoming queen at Dundalk?
Tracey: It was great. Almost everyone in the entire school voted for me and I loved the attention. Next is Prom queen.
695: Do you talk trash on the court?
Tracey: Yes, I do talk trash and sometimes I get a little carried away. But I play for Coach Stretch and he talks a lot of trash so it's just something you pick up.
695: What do you do besides play ball?
Tracey: Well, I'm hooping most of the time but other than that I just hang out with friends.
